Alfa will launch the new GT in Australia on 1st July this year. The GT will come equipped with the same 3.2 V6 engine that powers the 147GTA and the 156GTA and is a completely new model - not a two-door version of an existing car. The GT's engine develops 176kW and has the same 300 Nm torque as the 147 and 156 GTAs and has a 0-100 time of 6.7 secs and a 243kmh top speed. "The Alfa Romeo GT could not be a more fitting
figurehead for the Alfa Romeo range," says Kevin Wall, General Manager
for Alfa Romeo in Australia. "It brings together everything that
is expected of an Alfa Romeo - traffic-stopping style, awesome performance,
an extraordinary level of practicality, with sumptuous levels of equipment
and all at a price that will surprise all when we announce it on 1 July
