2005 Neiman Marcus Quattroporte - sold out!

Neiman Marcus Quattroporte

The Maserati Quattroporte is the most luxurious vehicle to ever be featured in the famous Neiman Marcus Annual Christmas Book. The company quickly sold all 60 Neiman Marcus Limited-Edition 2005 Quattroporte luxury sedans, after going on sale via telephone on October 14, 2004 at noon EDT.

For nearly a century the Neiman Marcus Group has served the needs of the luxury goods market. Today, Neiman Marcus is recognized as the premier luxury retailer in the US - first published in 1926 as a 16-page catalogue, the Neiman Marcus Christmas Book was originally intended as a Christmas card to its best customers. From then it has evolved into the wishlist of alluring and imaginative gifts.

Calls for the Quattroporte began immediately at noon, with requests for 60 cars completed within three minutes. In 36 minutes, all orders were finalized. The result, although impressive, is not surprising given the Quattroporte's waiting list of 18 months through Maserati dealers worldwide. According to Maurizio Parlato, president and CEO of Ferrari Maserati North America, the synergy between Maserati and Neiman Marcus goes well beyond the sale of its newest luxury item. "We are extremely pleased with the response of the NM® Quattroporte", said Parlato. "Based on our experience with the Neiman Marcus 'In Circle Rewards Program' we felt confident the car would be well received, but the overwhelming demand emphasizes the bond between the Neiman Marcus customer and the Maserati driver".

The all-new NM® Maserati Quattroporte, priced at US$125,000, was regarded as one of the more exotic fantasy gifts within Neiman's 97-year tradition. For this exclusive offering, Ferrari Maserati Group's Director of Concept Design, Frank Stephenson, and his team selected a special combination of colors, materials and finishes working closely with Sergio Pininfarina, and each one sold will bear Pininfarina's signature alongside its owner's name on an individually numbered nameplate.

Each NM® Quattroporte features a new Bordeaux Pontevecchio metallic paint finish, unique chromed mesh-front grill and side vents and 19" polished wheels. Inside, the custom handcrafted interior surrounds occupants in luxurious ivory Poltrona Frau leather with Bordeaux piping and mahogany wood accents.
