AlfaOwner
Not really a news site AlfaOwner is a collection of articles focusing on the more technical aspects of owning an Alfa. If you are thinking of fixing your Alfa yourself you might want to check through the pages here. Navigation around the site is a little odd but there is some useful stuff here. It is quite UK focused.
Auto Italia
Auto Italia is the only magazine in the world focused purely on Italian cars (and bikes if you want to be pedantic). It is a monthly magazine published out of the UK but copies do find their way out to Australia. The website is also very informative and some news and edited features from the magazine appear on the site.
Classic Driver
The Editor at Classic Driver has a dream job. One day he has to drive an Aston Martin, the next day a Bentley. Things must be tough. We forgive their lack of focus on Italian cars as they do feature Italian marques very regularly. Have a good email newsletter.
Italiaspeed
We think there's some 'insider dealing' going on - but you can't fault the team at Italiaspeed - they are often the first to break the very latest news on Italian cars to the world. Very up-to-date and very informative site.
-
Veloce TodayA web-based magazine for Italian car lovers based in the US, Veloce Today produces a regular email newsletter with a focus on older classic models. Although there is up-to-date news and coverage of the Grand Prix series it is great just to browse through some of the articles on older cars and read the stories behind the cars.
Thecarblog
Big US focus - although they do have a correspondent based in Modena (the Modena in Italy we presume). We don't really know why we picked The Car Blog seeing as there's almost nothing on Italiancars on it. Perhaps we just like its style.
Top Gear
Love it or loathe it - you've got to hand it to these guys. Remember when Top Gear was another Tomorrow's World languishing in the backwaters of BBC2?* Then Jeremy Clarkson came along, said some outstandingly rude things about some cars - and suddenly it was the programme to watch. Well it's still going and is still a delight to watch. The website carries the spirit on into cyberspace.
*apologies to anyone who wasn't watching TV in the UK 15 years ago - you won't know what we're talking about
The Car Enthusiast
A news-focused website based out of the UK with an accompanying email newsletter to keep you up to speed. No real features as such - you can choose between news, reviews and motorshows on the home page. Interesting that some of the brands listed in the news section (Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini to name names) don't appear in the reviews section. They're not trying hard enough!
Winding Road
We're fascinated by this new concept of car publishing - Winding Road is a normal glossy magazine-type format car magazine - but only available on the internet - and it's free. It has attracted a scion of US motoring journalism as its new Editor - David E Davis - and is aiming to give the printed magazines a run for their money. A quick zip through the back catalogue shows about eight articles on Ferraris and Maseratis.
Quattroruote
If you're based in Australia then you'll know about all the car websites here. In this section we're all about taking you places you might not have been before. And Quattroruote is the big car magazine in Italy - it's just celebrated its 50th birthday. OK so it's all in Italian, but we just look at the pictures.
Supercar News
A minimalist site for lovers of all supercars, with some great photos of modified Ferraris and Lamborghinis.
Lamborghini Cars
Very large Lamborghini focused site with up-to-date news and coverage of worldwide Lamborghini events.

David inherited a preference for Italian cars from his father - his first was a Lancia Beta HPE - which blew the socks off the Renault 5 he'd been driving around in until then
