Quattroporte Automatics Get Their Marching Orders

Other car companies use car storage yards. Not Maserati. For its new Quattroporte Automatic nothing less than the historic Military Academy in centre of Maserati’s home city of Modena was sufficient.

So, the first 70 Maserati Quattroporte Automatics lined up in the Military Academy as they came off the production line, before parading through Modena so that thousands of the city’s residents could see Maserati’s latest product first hand. Finally, each car was personally signed off in the Piazza Grande at the centre of Modena by Roberto Ronchi, the Chief Executive of Maserati, before they fanned out across Europe and to Melbourne for the new car’s launch at the Melbourne International Motor Show next month (2 March 2007).

“There can be no doubt that no other car maker would launch their first production run of a new model like this,” says Edward Butler, General Manager for Maserati in Australia and New Zealand. “But no other car maker shares such a legendary history and creates cars with such passion and exclusivity as Maserati. It is also clear that the people of Modena share that passion and see each new Maserati as important in the history of their city as any building from the past!”

The new Maserati Quattroporte Automatic will be the star of the Maserati stand at the Melbourne motorshow and it will go on sale at the show in three versions, Quattroporte Automatic, Quattroporte Sport GT Automatic and Quattroporte Executive GT Automatic, in Australia and New Zealand in March, when local prices and specifications will be announced.
