Buy a Punto, get an iPod
Last month (April 2007) Fiat Australia were adding a free iPod 2GB Nano and an iPod interface, as well as 15 inch alloy wheels to the Fiat Punto 1.4 petrol and 1.3 JTD models.
“The alloy wheels, alone, mean a saving of more than a $1700,” says David Stone, General Manager for Fiat Cars in Australia, “while the iPod interface enables any iPod maximize the six speaker audio system that comes as standard in the Fiat Punto, not just the 2 GB iPod Nano that now comes with 1.4 and 1.3 Puntos in April!”
All Punto models come with AirCon, remote central locking with remote boot release, cruise control, six air bags, ABS brakes, front electric windows and a five star EuroNCAP safety rating. The 1.4 is $19,990 (RRP) and the 1.3 JTD diesel model - which lays claim to being the most economical car in Australia (average fuel consumption of 3.9 l/100 km on the highway cycle) is $22,990 RRP.
