Lamborghini shows off open top concept at Detroit
Continuing the tradition of the Diablo Roadster Lamborghini chose the Detroit motor show to unveil its latest concept car, a 12 cylinder open top barchetta/roadster based on the current Murcielago model.

The concept car is 136mm lower than the Murcielago, has a more aggressive profile and comes with some structural redesigning to ensure adequate chassis stiffness.
Lamborghini have added some interesting touches - the headrests integrate the same adjustable air intakes as the Murcielago and the upholstery in the cabin is a different material and colour for the driver and passenger to make the car 'a real Pilot Oriented Driving Machine'.
Although the next production car from Lamborghini is in production and due to be launched in a few months time, a roadster and possible off-roader are next on the agenda, so this concept car may become a reality quite soon.
